If you box it the pokerus timer stops. So you can have a permanent carrier. Just put things in the same box to infect them. (and you can send them out too)

That works? I've had pokerus in a box full of pokemon for 3 days now and none of the other pokemon in the box have caught it

I played Gen 2 like a beast, never got Pokerus until Emerald. I had heard of it, but the person who told me said it was bad for you so I probably would have released it in Gen 2

My bad, it doesn't, but you can just put it in your party to spread it then box it again. You can catch some shitmons and infect them to have some spare carriers around.

OP, make sure you don't do what I almost did, always keep at least 5 shitmon infected with it, I forgot most of my infectors in my party and they were cured the next day, luckily I still had a wobbofett infected
