pic related is team so far, but i can't decide on a 6th. would also like to go into competitive, and i think i'm doing okay so far, but i don't really know what i'm doing.

I never doubted the Honedge. It's a pretty good wall. The crobat is fine but i'm not sure about the waifu. Volcarona is too weak to rock for my taste and will be one shot by a stab rockslide so I would consider that for another wall like shuckle or fortress to setup some entry hazzards for yourself. I never cared for Haxorus, but it's your team, I think it should be replaced with another dragon. And have you taken the keys into consideration?

haven't really thought about the keys since i'm trying to avoid type overlap. volcarona and gardevoir are there mainly for sp atk. gardevoir mainly as a fairy to bring up when dragons become an issue, and volcarona has a decent enough speed to help it keep ahead of what i'm likely to throw it out against. I was thinking about someone for entry hazards, but i can't decide since i can't seem to let myself have any type overlap (otherwise i'd have had ferrothorn in a long time ago)

You could replace Volcarona for an Arcanine since you can now get Ice fang on them and run it as Adamant Ice fang/Flareblitz/Wild charge/ Extreeme speed. The key's typing overlap shouldn't be a problem because for one, it has great typing with steel/fairy, and two it has prankster

Haxorus vs. Garchomp essentially boils down to pure ATK vs versatility. Haxorus is a true a glass cannon, while Garchomp gets, in exchange for less ATK, more HP, DEF, SpD, Speed, and 2 STABs. Unlike Haxorus that more or less only has the ability to murder everything, Garchomp is a bit less predictable as he gets access to stealth rock, and if you want, you can redistribute his EVs into a more support role rather then landshark on a murdering rampage.

In smogon metagame, garchomp is probably better, but only fags build teams based on pure metagame. build a team with pokemon that you like.

Any suggestion for last slot or replacements?
I can deal with common OU threats but certain team comps just wreck it. I probably need a fighting or rock type but nothing i've tried can deal with Greninja AND Talonflame, the two only things I'm really have difficulty with.

It can mess up some leads with encore but i'm mostly applying some damage until they switch out their lead or if the matchup isn't favorable, switching into Gourgeist to resist their rock/ground/steel move then let it do its thing.

Yeah, but I'm going to be using Mat Block on him too. This is a team for double battles. My plan is to send out Greninja & ninetales first. Then switch ninetales with Venusaur and have Greninja use Mat Block to protect them both, that way I can switch safely, unless the other person uses pursuit. That way, ninetales is usable later when drought expires. Hmm, maybe I'll give Ninetales protect.

I feel like just starting my team over again. I've taken it online and have had mixed results. inb4 git gud.
Volcarona is a must for me.
Even Hydreigon (anything worth replacing him with?)
Starmie is another one I wanna keep.
Aegislash is so predictable but his gimmick is too good. But again, it's only a matter of time before people catch on.
Gengar seems like such a glass cannon to me. Doesn't do much for me. Maybe it's my set?
Ferrothorn is good for starting up 6v6's but with the 3v3 battle, I'm finding it a waste. Also not good due to the shit ton of fire types online.

I run Destiny Bond on my Gengar, even if it's not my mega. Almost cool taking down something else you know you can't OHKO and is a threat to your team.

Although Prankster Banette probably does it better.

one low kick can do up to 120 damage because of his ability this amount of damage will double to 240 and that could double to 480 if they are weak to fighting type moves and his attack can max out at 427.then when pokebank open up u can breed it with a lucario that has drain punch/ice punch and that would just wow.could also just spam close combat and have malmar spam topsy turvy that would only happen if it was a double battle/triple battle tho

My forretress uses zap cannon, which has come in handy against speed boost blaziken and Yveltal. Mega Gengar just cleans up if they don't out speed him. The other 4 guys don't seem to be pulling their weight as well though. Archeops can handle a gengar, but if they go mega then he's annihilated in one turn. What would you guys recommend instead?

Since you're running Modest, Earthquake isn't going to help much. Even if you weren't, it's not really worth it. U-turn is better, even though it does shit damage, because of the damaging switch. Alternately, you could run Flash Cannon, Focus Blast, or a Rash/Mild nature and Head Smash if you predict something like Togekiss is switching in.
