I like alternate color schemes that look good. Metagross has a boss shiny, but is also one of the hardest shines to get (barring legendaries/unbreedables)

I masuda'd a shiny clauncher. I thought it would take a long time, so I just started hatching claunchers to get better IV and natures ones and swap the breeding pair around. Hatched a beautiful shiny clauncher less than 20 eggs in. Doesn't have perfect IVs or the ideal nature, but it's the first shiny I've ever found legit except for a shiny zubat in gold version. Thought the game was glitching back then and turned my GBC off.

It's a beautiful trophy. Don't give up OP.

Not a competitive player. I just play for fun really, so for me a shiny clauncher is great. Only reason I originally intended to go for good IVs and nature was just to give it more of an edge over Pokemon my friends use (who also aren't very competitive players).

I think the anon was refering to the fact shiny Clauncher is common as shit due to fishing chaining. Hit up the GTS and see for yourself.

Pretty sure he means that any fished shiny has diminished values since they're so easy to get. I got a shiny Clauncher after a chain of 14 and had no regrets trading it on GTS for a Xerneas so I could use Xerneas as GTS currency to get anything I want.

Oh ok. I got the clauncher way before chain fishing was discovered. I got it on the 2nd day of the games being released. I wouldn't have bothered breeding for it otherwise. At least it was less than 20 eggs.
