So I've got these for a Pokemon spin on Trick Or Treating, going live tonight on wondertrade. The "tricks" of this scenario are the Tangela, all of which are nicknamed "Pubes" and the treats are the starters, all of which are nicknamed some kind of candy and either have PokeRus, or are holding a PP Up. They'll be going live later (likely around 8pm GMT), anybody else having some fun on wondertrade tonight?

I've been chainbreeding Extra Large perfect IV Pumpkaboos and giving them Rare Candy. They only have Trick-or-Treat and are all called SpookyBoogie

When you first get a Pumpkaboo, does it show up as a Pumpkaboo, or does it show up as a Gourgeist?

I've gotten Golems, Gengars, Gourgeists and Trevenants from WT, but never Gravelers, Haunters, Pumpkaboos or Phantumps.

Coincidence maybe, but I'm wondering.

You know that's kind of the opposite of how trick or treat works, right?

It's a threat. Either you give them candy or they vandalize your property. They'll play a trick if they don't get a treat. Trick or treat.

Everything you send out should be a treat, shouldn't it? I mean nobody gives out tricks on Halloween except kids.

Hey OP, if you'd be willing to send me PokeRus, I'd like to get in on this and infect a bunch of Super-Size Pumpkaboos named "Tricky Treat" to WT out.

I don't have a GL account to snag Rare Candies yet, so that'll have to do.

Yes. I've gotten a few Boldores. They immediately evolve. (This is actually when I also tested preventing trade evolutions with "B"... You can't.)

I think what's happening to you is what I do; I receive a stage 2, it evolves, I already have one, and flip it back onto Wonder Trade as stage 3.

If you're super desperate, I can grab a camera and record for a few hours looking for a stage 2, but I'd rather not if that's cool.

You can retrade anything with an HM, it just can't be in your party at the time.

Oh I trust you, I just wanted to be sure you weren't jumping to conclusions about WT based on other trades.

And you can't cancel a trade evo except by letting it hold an everstone; you actually can't cancel ANY evo except a level-up one, FWIW.
