Why aren't any of you talking about how amazing this guy is with Speed Boost this gen? I finally decided to start testing some teams on simulators before I start breeding in-game and tossed together a team with Scolipede and Garchomp. There were no survivors. Scolipede@Focus Sash Ability: Speed Boost EVs: 4 HP / 252 Attack / 252 Speed Jolly Nature - Poison Jab - Earthquake - Sword Dance - Baton Pass Garchomp@Garchompite Ability: Rough Skin EVs: 252 Attack / 4 Special Attack /252 Speed Naive Nature - Dragon Claw - Earthquake - Fire Blast - Iron Head Lead with Scolipede and Sword Danced turn 1 every time unless they were packing Imposter Ditto or lead with something with priority. Just had to work around that. Scolipede has the tools it needs to sweep on its own and when it got low or threatened I just passed to MegaChomp who's only weakness is that it's slower than regular Garchomp. The rest of my team needs a lot of work, but this duo is 100% going to be the core of my team this gen. Holy crap!

Is MegaChomp really the best choice for that, though? I would think MegaKang could do more damage.
Anonymous
>>15432694 I prefer Garchomp because it has 120 Special Attack letting go mixed to handle Max Def Steel types like Skarm and Ferro. It's also bulky as all Hell letting is survive things you wouldn't normally expect it to.
The point is that Speed Boost Scolipede is amazing, though. It could work with any physical attacker that just isn't quite fast enough to sweep on its own.

I'd love to try it out IF I COULD FUCKING FIND SOMEONE WITH A FUCKING WHIRLIPEDE IN THEIR SAFARI

I run scolipede + MMawile. The amount of people who quit after seeing x2 Atk x2 Speed Mawile is hilarious.

Scolipede was one of my favorite bugs of gen V, but Galvantula was my favorite. Glad they both got some love this gen.

I WAS JUST ABOUT TO MAKE A THREAD ABOUT THIS GUY OP. I WAS THINKING JOLLY 8ATK/252 SPEED/ 248 HP BUT THEN I WAS THINKING ABOUT THE MOVESET. ONE PROTECT OR TWO GIVES HIM SPEED. BUT I WANT TO BATON PASS HIM. SO WOULD I DO 252 HP 248 DEF 8 ATK MEGAHORN SUBSTITUTE BATON PASS SWORDS DANCE Can he learn spikes/ toxic spikes naturally? I don't want to breed anymore. Spikes/Megahorn/Sword/Baton

>>15433274 EQ might be better than megahorn, better typing and no chance to miss

>>15433312 But megahorn will kill anything.
well almost anything he has 100 based atk, stab, ivs/ ev

>>15432921 id rather use fire fang tbh
i lead with galvantula, throw a sticky web or bug buzz if they have a magic bounce, then either sweep or volt switch to Scolipede, put up a sub, swords dance/ another sub until i baton pass to mega garchomp and sweep
Also megahorn in case scoliopede gets taunted.
also why do you have FB/ Iron head?
That fire/bug is still popular and you don't have coverage for it. and why not use fire fang? way easier.

But if your team already has good ground attacks then I guess megahorn is fine.

>>15433339 That T2 can be a thunder wave, confusion, taunt, it's scary.
why use focus sash over toxic sludge?

>>15433509 why not use substitutes over protect?
if they switch you have a sub up, so they cant kill you and you can heal.
and if they switch you can use sub again so it stays up
you could also baton pass the sub
plus what if they switch as you use protect? id feel bad
