Call me a hypocrite, but I find RNG okay while pokegenning isn't. I breed mons really just to breed them, but if I felt inclined to RNG I totally would, especially if I wanted a competitive legendary instead of SRing a million times hoping for the nature and fantastic IVs. Taking that step out of the actual game and generating something to import back into the game is where I draw the line though. I get why people do it, but it's not something I'd personally do. There's the argument that RNG requires outside programs to find timeframes, but all that really matters to me is that the game generated the pokemon under "normal" operating conditions; all the player did was press buttons at the right times.
