>>15454946Like it or not, that ugly fuck can do some work with Huge Power.
.. you realize it gets Huge Power, right? It also checks Aegislash, hard.
>>15455079Not at all. It's about getting in your opponent's head. Based off of their possible options, what one would be the most logical, and to act accordingly. Also, using situational evidence, like their play style (would they rather conserve, or go full offensive? Take risks or play safe?) to sort of gauge your foes next move.
It's in no way reliable, and you want to avoid having to predict, but it's something that distinguishes good players from great players.
>>15454918A lot of people think that because something works in theory that it'll always work in practice. There's a lot of permutations in a strategy game, so unless it's something that full on IS an answer to a problem, you can't count on it.
Like I said, that doesn't mean it won't work, but making it your only option to a threat will more often end in failure.
Also, yeah you're definitely right about that second bit. I was moreso answering to why anon thought WoW being used to shut down Aegislash was a good idea.
Physical sets are just the most common ones you currently, and probably will see on it, so it makes sense to WoW it when you can.
Mixing stuff up is only bad when it's either completely unable to be pulled off (like trying to run a Special Scizor), if your team would do better with it's normal set, or more importantly, if it's "mixup" doesn't handle it's usual threats any differently.
Aegislash has potetency on it's special side, so either throwing in Shadow Ball with a mixed set, or something else would actually work to a great degree, especially since it supposedly 2HKOs Skarm, something that's an otherwise threat to Aegislash.
