When the original 151 came out my favorite was Scyther. When Gen II came out immediately Scizor was my favorite. I'm still pretty new to competitive, but I'm happy he's one of the best. His Mega Evolution is ok, but nothing tops regular ol' Scizor.

There are too many favorite mon to name, but I'll pick Feraligatr. I'm not really too keen on its own move set (kinda bland and uninspired imo), and it's not my babby's first starter either since I started with Red, but I like his design. It's cool and soothing to the eyes at the same time due to the baby colors used on him. Can't wait to see how it will look like in X/Y once the PokeBank goes live.

Seriously, though. Crystal was my first pokemon game ever. I caught this dude the first time I ever tried the bug catching contest. I was like, "What a cool bug. I bet I've got this one in the bag!" only to lose to a level 14(?) Caterpie. I put him in my team though, and he raped most everything. He became my most dependable pokemon, so I always make sure to include a Heracross in my team whenever it's possible.

Eevee (and all its evolutions) has been my favorite since first gen and will always have that top spot on my list. When I was little my fucking nickname was Eevee. Everyone called me that. I think it stuck out to me because it had so many options to pick from when evolving it.

I've always liked that particular evolution line, but Bellsprout was always ma nigga. I liked it a lot more than Weepinbell and Victreebell, and generally avoid evolving it. It's just so simple yet cute, and I think losing the little wiggly body diminishes that.
Then that episode of the anime happened, where Bellsprout straight up beat Ash's team like it was nothing, weaving its way around every attack and even grounding itself to disperse Pikachu's thunderbolt. That episode pretty much cemented my love for Bellsprout and his "float like a butterfly, sting like a bee" fighting style.
