Just ran into a horde containing 4 Zangoose and 1 Seviper.
The Seviper was shiny.

Problem is that you can't catch a Pokémon when there's still more than one on the field, and that the Zangoose will all attack the Seviper before they even look at you. Seviper will be killed before you can catch it.
