You're gonna make us download anyway to get them so why the fuck are they there?

And if it's about causing issues with people who don't download the update being unable to play with people who do THEN MAKE IT A MANDATORY SYSTEM UPDATE FOR THE GAME.

Anyone who can't access the internet easily won't be fucking doing anything with other people anyway

There are so many places that offer Free Wi-Fi now adays that it'd be sheer fucking stubbornness on the persons part that would be preventing them from getting the updates.

Just because it's on the cart doesn't mean it will be released; look at the Azure Flute in DP.

Also, Game Freak has very likely saved some Megas/Formes for the next Gen IV titles. It's especially telling that Latias and Latios have the same mega form. I could see them rolling out a new Mega Latias in a future game.

They can't even ACCESS these event legendary pokemon then, so they're fucked no matter what and nobody since they can't even trade with people.

At worst you'd have the one rich fuck taunting his legendaries to the rest of the people in town, but since you're not living in a first world country you can just mob him, kill his family and use his wifi
