No seriously - Gardevoir was meh in UU at best, and only because of high spdef gives room for calm mind shenanigans.

The very best gardevoir can do is come in on a special attack, set up trick room on the switch and use this situational momentum to start a short sweep, but that's it - it still loses to priority, psychic is still a horrible type and an item is more important than a silly evolution.

though fairy psychic is good typing.

Also, switch Dragon Pulse out for Ice Beam for better type coverage. Water Pulse is effectively Dragon Pulse but better thanks to STAB and Confusion bonus.

It depends on how good the mega is.

Mega mawile has the highest attack in the game with huge power, sucker punch, and a great typing.

Mega gard is a slightly better gard with a shitty ability.

It still doesn't open a lot of options. She won't have anything unique until pokebank, where she can run Hypervoice, turning into a 180 BP Fairy move that hits through subs. May or may not be useful depending how popular substitute becomes.

She still might have some use in Doubles, since she gets Heal Pulse. Can be helpful for those walls who can't heal themselves (i.e. the bad ones). Kind of sucks Heal Pulse can't target the user, as she could use a healing move that's not Wish.

I've been playing with Mawile since the beginning, and I can honestly say it's not great playing against a skilled player, since it's too easy to predict around. HOWEVER, put Mawile on trick room and it's good game. I'm serious, it's incredible how much dies to this. Try it out.

He's only dangerous with perfect prediction, which is technically impossible. Mega Mawile doesn't even get stab on that sucker punch.

This new typing has her with only 3 weaknesses (Ghost/Steel/Poison), as well as better STAB coverage (She now has perfect OU coverage thanks to Shadow Ball+Moonblast). Pixilate Hyper Voice is actually going to be pretty amazing when we do get it as well, since it will be one of the highest no cost natural stab moves in the game (sans boomburst)

Yes, but you keep on implying that Pixilate is a shit ability as if Gardevoir is never going to get that Hyper Voice.

Come december, her ability is going to render moonblast irrelevant on her.

Keep in mind that she's slow and doesn't have great special bulk (base 50 HP is shit). If you can take the Sucker Punch, she's done.

Or you can trap her with Magnezone and deal a ton of damage with T-bolt, especially with Specs.

Oh, and when Heatran comes back she's just plain fucked.

Moonblast's secondary effect is utter garbage 90% of the time (should have just been an SpD reduction), so it's pretty irrelevant when comparing 95BP move to 127BP move.
