I only care about hacking when it's abused and makes pokemon which are impossible within the limitations of the game, and those (supposedly) can't be used in WiFi battles anyway.
I breed because I find it rewarding, it gives me lots of trade trash and I enjoy the process of work = reward. Most people do not agree with that and simply want the instant gratification of pooping out a genned mon, and taking it into battles.
Breeding doesn't make me a better player than a hacker.
Hacking doesn't make anyone else a better player than a breeder.
Fighting, learning strategies and solutions, and improving your skills is what makes a better player.
If the end result is the same, just go with whichever pleases you most. And if you're a breeder going "muh effort awl dis tiem breedan and youse guise just poop 'em out" then maybe, just maybe, you should consider genning, too since you're clearly not enjoying the breeding process and you're whining about your "wasted effort"
