Now you gotta look deep inside, everyone has their favorite but what about their second favorite? Everyone has their preference but what about the second preference that you dont seem to find room on in every time over the first? Or maybe you do, you might love it just EVER so slightly less than your first favorite
I wont accept more than one second favorite for an answer, it is a rough choice because there are a LOT of pokemon behind your favorite im sure, but there is only ONE that you like slightly more than your favorite.
Now for me my second favorite is Pinsir. It was a pretty big toss up but when thinking about it I always try to make room for this badass bug on my team. The fact that he got a mega in this gen just made me like him a little more than pokemon like Kabutops and Alakazam

While my absolute favorite is Bellsprout, my second has to be Tangrowth. While Bellsprout may not always find a place on my team due to being a first-stager, Tangrowth proudly picks up the slack. I'll go on the record as saying that I never really liked Tangela. Finding him back in the day was tricky, and he wasn't exactly anything special. So when I first saw Tangrowth, I wasn't amazed. It just looked goofy and a little strange, much like many of the added evolutions from Gen IV. Then, on a whim, I decided to use him anyway. And my god did he slap the shits of everything in his path. The more he annihilated, the more I began to see his goofiness in an endearing way. Now I can't even bear to think of making a competitive team without Tangrowth somewhere on the roster.

My favorite is Hydreigon. If I'm not allowed to say Deino or Zweilous, I'll go with Latias, who used to be my favorite before Gen V happened. I guess I just adore floaty dragon things with atrophied legs.

Dewgong will always have a special place as my favorite first gen poke, but I guess my second favorite would be Clefable. I just like what Clefable does and it becoming fairy type is pretty nice.

He may just be an HM slave, but he's the best damn travel companion you can have.

I really adore Lilligant, I used to not be one for cute pokemon or grass types but I found her very endearing. Kinda hard to fit on my team though since a lot of other pokemon I like are also fire weak and her coverage is poor.

All the way up to gen 4, Clefable was my favourite. I still have a Clefable in my team, but its been a rough tie between Clefable and Volcarona, I suppose Volcarona is my new front liner, but i'll still pick Clefable as my first, best pokemon. Its been alot of time, all the way from Gen 1. With that said, Volcarona is just lush, i love the bastard, A flaming moth? It just gets me, more than any other moth/butterfly like pokemon. And that fluffy mane? Jesus i just want to hug a motherfucker. Plus it looks regal as fuck.

My favourite is Tangrowth, but my second is Togetic (it is quickly approaching first as of late, though). While I generally end up using Togekiss in-game eventually, I love Togetics design much more. In HG/SS I always use the egg you get. Extrasensory destroys things at that point in the game and it makes using Togepi hardly a hassle once you get it a couple of levels. It has been a true bro to me since then. I name mine Benedict every time (since it's generally always male)

Second favorite would be Ninetails, because of its insanely fluffy tails. Fickle, maybe, but there are none fluffier. Too bad they're so narrow in-game.

>>15466821 Toss-up between Absol or Ninetales. Depends strongly on if I want Fire/Psychic special attacks or Dark/Psychic physical attacks for my team.
Leafeon is my absolute favourite, so it would seem that my 3 favourites are all quadrupeds.
I would definitely use Absol if his Mega didn't look like a JRPG villain. I know they wanted it to look like a guardian angel but they done Nomura'd.

Favorite is Gardevoir, second favorite is Volcarona. I love its design- it's simple but powerful, and puts across what Volcarona is very clearly. It's almost angelic in its style- the 6 wings, cleansing flames and all that. It's just fucking cool, I guess.
