Smealum hinted that there are more hidden Pokemon that he hasn't revealed yet. Also, I have a suspicion that Diancie is obtainable without an event, and I have a theory I'm going to try a bit later. I definitely think Volcanion and Hoopa are event only though.

Also, I'm sure it's been posted, but one of the people at the anistar sundial mention "out-of-place artefacts" or something, and they abbreviate it to "OOPA". Fucking suspicious.

The regi puzzle wasn't anywhere near as hard as people make out. The game had a lot of dive spots, and one of them had a cave in it with a message written in braille. The games all came with a braille translation card, and when translated it told you exactly what to do to solve the puzzle, which was to have a relicanth and wailord in specific slots in your party. It was really not that hard.

personally the hardest part was finding a relicanth. I remember I found one after 3 hours of searching for one on a roadtrip. caught it and saved, but the batteries died while it was saving.

You need to first navigate the fast waters west of pacifilog and find the right place to land to use dive. (you cant see it any other way, except on the map)

1) you need to know how to read braille ( which you cant because you need to feel braille and this is a videogame without feelers)

2) you need two VERY specific pokemon to get them, both of which have literally no relation to each other and are quite random when you think about it. They also must be in a VERY specific order in your party in order to activate the event to unlock the regis.

3) you need a very specific TM with the specific pokemon in the specific party slot in order to open the door to the regis

4) you need to use very specific TMs before the battle with the regis in a very specific location on the caves to open the door. (one of them requires you to wait for 5 minutes.)

you also have no idea what they represent until gen 4 gives them some purpose. They also llook nothing like any previous pokemon or any of the hoenn pokemon.

tl;dr they are weird as fuck.

A) AZ's Floette does not have a pokeball, giving you the ability to catch it, or put it in a pokeball of your own.

The Regis didn't have dex numbers higher than the main trio of legendaries and they had braille to hint at getting them.

With some of the bullshit past hidden legendaries have had, I have to ask. Are the numerous special/glowing areas in some caves used yet? I haven't finished all the post game stuff but I remember some spots in reflection cave and I think terminous that looked somewhat like alters.

I don't think it was a basement, it was just a path to the left with a glowing spot that looked really special. Although I could see a megastone being there, I think the only dungeon stone I got was the one behind the snowman

Well, the official JP strategy guide comes out later this week which is hopefully better than that rushed piece of shit that got released in the west, so if there's any already-in-game stuff we're missing out on then we'll probably know about it shortly. They're probably all event mons though.

Like a lazy example would be to find a fossilized car.

In the case of the Sundial, it was stated that they didnt' have the technology to make the Sundial back then and that they might have used a pokemon's power to create it.

case in point: Diancie's crystals are the same color as the kind that the sundial are made of.

I can't think of its name right now but I know it looks a lot like Diancie.

This wouldn't be the first time an event Pokemon had an item or area linked to it in-game before being revealed.

I really want them to be just a placeholder while the team finish the actual designs. My theory is that they were drawing lot's of legendaries, but none of them looked good. The time was running out, so they put these ones and locked the paths in order to release an update and replace them. Don't forget Sugimori said he had a artist block during development and it was hard to draw the legendaries.
