What's the point? At the very least make ice resistant to water. Maybe add ground.

90% of all ice pokemon are unusable right now. Ice is only good as a move type. But then you use it on other pokemon like water ones.

How do you know that? It's an extremely valid question because out of all three Hoenn starters, only one was chosen to be inserted into X/Y's data. It really makes no sense at all, regardless of whether they "eventually" come out with them or not.

it's the most popular. Megas in their debut are basically fan service, not really a way of making bad pokémon viable. They chose some already OP pokémon and made them more badass. It's pretty obvious they will expand the number of megas as times goes by, it's perfctly easy to do because you just have to introduce its stone

That's not my point. I'm saying that the only non-Kanto starter chosen for a Mega in Gen VI was Blaziken (one of the most popular starters out there), while other starters were neglected. As it is we have no way of confirming that those other starters will ever get Megas, especially since they don't share that same amount of popularity.

I'm getting really fucking tired of people saying this.

Its regional dex has a whopping 454 Pokemon to catch in order to complete it. FOUR HUNDRED AND FIFTY FOUR. It has several different battling organizations scattered throughout the region, which focuses on the actual meat of the game - battling - as well as Amie and numerous boutiques for those who want to do non-essential things. It has a rather extensive sidequest dealing with Looker and a brand new character to the series, and this is all in addition to two different routes and corresponding Legends that aren't required for the main story.

Contrary to popular opinion, X and Y has plenty of post-game content and anyone who says otherwise is fucking dumb.
