Yeah, I remember I could never catch mewtwo in the games because all my pokémon would melt just by entering the cave, by the time I got to where mewtwo was my character sprite would explode and the credits would roll again.

To tell you the truth, I have to put Charizard X aside when I was catching Mewtwo yesterday. After Megaevolving, one Dragon Claw was enough to make over 75% damage on Mewtwo. Tough Claws is great.
