Pokeballs automatically recall the pokemon that they are programmed to contain if that pokemon is injured enough. This prevents pokemon from being hurt badly in battle. There's actually a lot of juxtaposition with those two. In Union Cave, on the way to Lapras, there's a trainer with two Marowak followed by a trainer with a Kangaskhan, separated by a pool of water. There's also the appearance of both of them in Rock Cave.

I know there is no solid evidence that Kangaskhan and Cubone are related, but I don't find it too difficult to believe that they though about it at least one when developing the game back then.

Wouldn't it be more accurate to say "human modified"? Just like Genesect, it was another creature before and was modified, so was Deoxys, since it is originally supposed to be a virus. Porygon and I think Castform would fit better in the human made description, since apparently they are made from scratch, also Mewtwo since it is a clone.

My headcanon is that Deoxys was the Pokerus virus. Pokemon come from space on meteorites, so Pokerus could come from space on meteorites. Deoxys came from space on a virus from ameteorite that turned into a Pokemon. It has forms based on altering stats similar to how Pokerus helps Pokemon gain higher EVs/stats. The virus in Deoxy's pokedex entries and the Pokerus are the only two viruses in the Pokemon universe so it would make sense if they were related.

The giant stone behind the sundial, as well as the stone which the 'ultimate weapon' uses are meteorites. All evolution stones are also meteorites (fire, leaf, etc, as well as Mossy Rock/Ice Rock, eviolite, everstone).

Pokemon are alien in origin and these meteorites affect them for that reason. See Mew, Deoxys is a space virus and the origins of the original dragon form of Reshiram/Zekrom/Kyurem which came from a meteorite crash.

Diancie is the living legend born from the meteorite at the sundial.

Pokemon and Animals are two different beings. Pokemon happens to be mutated, genetically altered, Alien, or Artificial beings with a continuing mutating genome. This is what allows Pokemon to "Evolve" or metamorph when they reach a certain age or interact certain environments.

All evolution stones emit radiation. Sun Stone, Fire Stone, Water Stone, Thunder Stone, Moss Rock, etc.
Many artificial and natural constructions also emit radiation. Things like Mt.Coronet or the Trade Machine.
Another thing which may affect the transformation is the Pokemon's own mental state. It's emotions can also dictate how it's genes will alter as it ages.

Mega-Stones however are quite different, as unlike the mentioned stones and methods of evolution, the Mega-Stones effect Pokemon of a certain species, and the change is not ever complete. We could hypothesis that Mega-Stones merely "unlock" further potential, that a Pokemon already has; essentially being the key to a "hyper" body state which can be seen for abilities like Blaze or Torrent or when a Pokemon is in Shadow Corrupted mode as seen in the events of the Orre Region.

Brock drinks the occasional beer with Lt. Surge, but is otherwise quite tame.

Misty is a party girl, loves to get white-girl wasted on shitty mixed drinks, cheap beer and ditch weed. She gobbles up Ecstasy when she can get her hands on it. She idolizes Erika.

Lt. Surge loves his beer, but isn't an alcoholic. Is ashamed to admit that America doesn't make the best beers and drinks his favorite non-american beers in plain glasses. He also on very rare occasions enjoys a snort of cocaine or a fine cigar. He and Brock sometimes get drinks together.

Erika is one of the best growers and biggest suppliers of marijuana for the Kanto region. She loves her weed and various other "medicinal" plants (shrooms, salvia, if it grows and can easily be made in to a drug, she's at least tried it), as well as occasionally indulging in Ecstasy and LSD. She refuses to smoke weed with Sabrina anymore, but they are otherwise great friends and often enjoy Hookah. She doesn't really notice Misty that much, and takes great pains to keep Koga happy. Surprisingly, she doesn't drink.

Koga takes small amounts of hard liquors and marijuana supplements to keep himself limber and fit in his old age. He otherwise never sullies his system with substances. He goes to Erika for all of his herbal and traditional medicines. He owns a Hookah, but is rarely seen using it, it's mostly for Sabrina's visits.

Sabrina doesn't drink and very rarely smokes. She and Erika smoked once, and she spent the entire time making Erika believe she had hidden "stoner powers". She owns her own Hookah, however, which she brings to Erika's place often. She sometimes visits Koga for tea and hookah as well.

Blaine had to "stop drinking" after getting a new liver, but still sneaks a shot in while no-one is looking. People wonder whether or not he does cocaine as well, considering how energetic he is.

Giovanni smokes fine cigars, drinks exotic liquors, and snorts fine cocaine.

The way you ended it was cunty, but that's somewhat similar to my headcanon.

Pokeballs are different from Capsules, but they do look similar, and a Pokeball can make a makeshift capsule in a pinch.

Capsules are, when minimized, as big as a maximized Pokeball, and when maximized, somewhere between a basketball and a small beach ball. Maybe a foot in diameter? Their bottoms are flattened as opposed to the perfect spheres, and you can place in multiple objects up to a certain volume limit inside of them. Unlike Pokeballs, they don't register with a trainer and can become easily lost, and are often abandoned when their contents are emptied (or almost emptied). Trainers often carry around three or four and sort them in to various 'compartments' (camping gear, battle supplies, berries, etc) in their bags. They are able to easily select specific items from the capsules by using the 'button' on the front, which turns in to a touch screen.

A Pokeball can store an item, but only one item (which is why Pokemon can only hold one item). Capsules can NOT store Pokemon, but can hold many items.

Also there's lots of trainer folklore about trainers who saved themselves from dangerous situations by hiding inside of a Pokeball and waiting for rescue. This doesn't work with Pokeballs, but a Capsule can be hacked to provide shelter to a human, but this effectively puts the human in a blackout state while inside the capsule (like a coma), and without outside influence, there's no guarantee they will ever get back out again.

Pokeballs and Capsules have a redundancy clause set in so digitized matter doesn't get digitized a second time, which results in glitches when the base matter is reconstructed. At best, you wind up with a memoryless version of whatever you put in, at worst the pokeball will have fused with its contents.

Pokémon are not natural in any way whatsoever, they are all magical/supernatural/alien with extremely volatile genes which mutate at slightest exposure to anything. Converting them into pure energy or even computer code is possible because they adapt to their living circumstances almost instantaneously, regardless of what those circumstances are -- hence PCs and pokéballs.

I don't believe that they are native to earth but introduced by a mitochondrial eve of their own, such as Arceus, which gained sentience and the ability to travel freely through space and time.

Regardless, they are all altruistic and possess characteristics which are similar to humans, such as abilities to interpret language and emotion. Perhaps this too was a mutation which resulted from their prolonged interaction with humans.

In my head, babies simply are only born under specific circumstances without which they aren't even formed. The incenses are artificial means of simulating the necessary environment to create baby pokemon.

Maybe those two theories are essentially the same thing, too. When something "lacks" in their development, babies are born instead of first stages. It could be because of a natural change in the environment or because of an artificial modification (incenses).
