>>15531921Let's assume for our first trial that Rhyhorn and Jolteon are FULLY EV trained in Special and at level 50. This will be our test comparison. All IV's for simplicity purpose will be the max of R/B, which is 15.
Special of Rhyhorn = ((15 + 30 + ((sqrt65535)/8) x 50) / 50) + 5 = 81
Special of Jolteon = ((15 + 110 + ((sqrt65535)/8) x 50) / 50) + 5 = 161
(sqrt65535/8 = 31.rounding down)
Plug in this data to the attack formula:
Rhyhorn uses thunderbolt! (assuming max damage)
((((50*0.4*1)+2)*81*95/50/161)+2)*0.5*255/255
= 11 damage.
Jolteons HP would become
(((15 + 65 + ((sqrt65535)/8)+ 50) x 50) / 50) + 10 = 171
I'm not even going to bother playing around with critical hits. But let's skew it a bit.
Rhyhorn at level 75 Special Stat = 119
Jolteon at Level 25 Special Stat = 83
Jolteon at Level 25 HP stat = 90
Attacking again
Rhyhorn uses Thunderbolt!
Rhyhorn does 44 damage.
FOURTY FUCKING FOUR OUT OF 90! Even with a critical hit, Rhyhorn would only do about 85 damage, which would still leave Jolteon standing with about 5 HP remaining.
However, at this level, it's not impossible, if you take into account one is not EV trained while the other is. If Rhyhorn has perfect stats, while Jolteon has no EVs or IVs in special, then a OHKO is in fact possible, but this would mean that you would have to have the Eevee with the shittiest stats in the world, and then took it straight to a ground type gym, because autism. Red is simply put a shitty trainer. Not even Ash would have this level of POORsight.
