Who do you guys use for catching Pokemon? I used to use Scizor, but so many games later I have 5 of the fuckers at or near lvl 100. I'm kind of leaning towards Aegislash.

The Aegislash line lacks status but is otherwise one of the the best False Swipers in the game

a) Ghost Typing means you basically have a free smoke ball
b) Solid defensive typing generally, gets Swords Dance and False Swipe combo very early on
c) Ghost typing prevents the most common suicide moves like Take Down, as well as Retaliate

Smeargle's a bit flimsy, and people make the mistake of getting a Parasect with Effect Spore as their Spore Swiper.

Bisharp's not a bad choice due to having both False Swipe and T-Wave.

Thunder Wave, False Swipe, plus Rock Smash makes it useful both as a catching Pokemon and an HM slave. Plus, it looks freaking cool but I never had a chance to use it on my ingame team.

Sneasel is my ditto hunter. False Swipe and 3 non-attacking moves (I think Screech, Hone Claws and Snatch). He's fast enough to run from anything else in the Ditto garden I have (Loudred and Aipom) and can't be killed by a Ditto if the quick ball fails.

Trace lets me know if it has the right ability then it can use Hypnosis to put the Pokemon to sleep.

I've got a spare level 75 garchomp that knows false swipe. I just pull him out. Otherwise I just sling quick balls. I actually caught all of the legendaries with a quick ball.

I use Bisharp too. He's the absolute best. First started using him because Metang in B2/W2 was a cocksucker to capture.

Thunder-Wave, Double Team, Swords Dance, False Swipe with Leftovers equipped is my moveset. If you're against something that can actually hurt you, 2-4 DTs and you are invincible, then just spam Balls all day.

The best False Swiper right now is probably Pangoro. It gets Scrappy as its hidden ability, so it can hit Ghosts with it. Doublade is also good, immunity to Take Down, Double Edge, and Submission, and extremely bulky with Eviolite.

I've got a level 9X Doublade w/ Eviolite.
Swords Dace+False Swipe and some timer balls was more than enough for Mewtwo and Zygarde.

It's the same as a regular ability, but you can only get a pokemon with it in dream world, friend safari and horde battles

It's just another ability that you can only get under special requirements.

In Gen V you could only get them from the Dream World or Hidden Grottos. Gen VI lets you get them from horde battles and the friend safari though.

Sub is mainly for Ditto since they have a habit of waking up before I can put them into the red zone.
