On average how long does it take to get and breed up a pokemon assuming you have nothing but post game to start with? Is it possible to get a full team within 6 hours?
This is assuming I don't trade with anyone and have extremely poor luck.

Not being able to trade with others shouldn't matter as long as you don't plan on using version-exclusives or trade-evolutions. With poor luck... I'd guess at a week, assuming you play on and off, or a few days if you play most of your time.

If you want perfect IVs and EVs along with a cohesive team it's going to take a lot longer than 6 hours

Oh, and this is if you're going to try breeding for 4-6 IV pokemon. If you just aim for HP/Offensive stat/Speed for offensive pokemon and HP/Def/SpDef for the defensive ones, it'll take less time.

Probably moot anyway since I have no idea on a team yet and with what. Thanks anyway.

No that's just about all I reckon I'll have to set aside till friday. And its not a tournament but there will be heaps of players there and I love fighting people face to face.

Depends on what you want.
If you get good parents and w/ egg moves and all of whatnot you want.
Then with a bit of luck you'd be ready to fight in like a 1-3 days, depending on how much you play/luck you get.

Starting from scratch post-game would probably take you 6 hours for one poke. Tha later ones would go faster since you should have a bunch of good dittos by then.
