Honestly it depends on the exact set its running but Kanga gets such a wide pool it's hard to really know. People running sucker/return/EQ/powerup have a very hard time against ghosts like dusclops

If you're going bulk, you might as well go adamant. It's defensive stats are fairly even, so you'll probably want to go 252 HP and Atk. I guess you could split into defenses, but then you'd be more reliant on powerup punch working

Kanga is easy to figure out. The most common stuff I see on it is

>Earthquake
>Shadow claw
>Power-up punch
>Sucker punch
>Return
>Fake-out

You know it's going to be eager to set up with PPunch right away, so switch into a ghost or rocky helmet ferrothorn to hamper it. If you've got your ghost out, switch to something bulky to take the hit and feel out if it's got sucker punch or shadow claw (they normally don't have both). If it's got sucker punch, you can just put your ghost back in and burn it. If it's got shadow claw, you can just outspeed it and kill it with whatever.

Obviously this isn't a perfect formula, but it's worked pretty often for me. Dancing around mega kanga and wearing it down is definitely doable, it's not the uncounterable monster some people in this thread are making it out to be.

Not only is turn order applied before mega evolving, putting you at a shitty 90 or base speed against a decently fast bird

But you're only at 100 base speed after the evolution. You're not even at like the average anymore unlike back in Gen 4. Now you're a bit on the slow side and will still be outsped by like, base 50s running scarf.

Why would they? Most of them are incredibly common abilities like technician, thick fat and trace. There's no real reason for even assuming that megas are immune to ability changing just because they're mega. The items would change the forme entirely, which has always been buggy since like, Platinum, but an insomniac Charizard X would still be a Charizard X.

Any person with half a brain can make a ghost stall a Kanga only running sucker punch.
Add one air baloon vs a "standard" Kanga amd it's now immune to everything Kanga has while being able to setup swords dance for the inevitable switch as you change to something that can actually hit it. If it was nonmega it would be a different story but if you want to talk about it already being in mega form then most of them should be fucked/walled for daring to rely on sucker punch.

No it isn't moron. Ghost and Dark have the same damn coverage but nothing is immune to Dark and Crunch is stronger than Shadow Claw is. Both Fairies and Fighting take high damage from Return so don't even give me "but Ghost isn't resisted" shit.

Shadow Claw is pretty much a staple for all MegaKangaskan who loose scrappy. Switching in on ghost is very common for this. Dammit gamefreak why did you give it shadow claw
