>>15561447>And Mega Aggron isn't something I'd use for defense because lack of leftovers or recovery, plus I think the typing, options, and utility possessed by pokemon like Forretress or Ferrothorn. It's only got three weaknesses, 230 base defense, and Filter to not even care about those three weaknesses. Plus 140 base attack off of that.
Forretress and Ferrothorn get scared away by shit and neither of them except Curse Ferrothorn can do damage, but it runs away if you swap in a heatran or something.
Mega Aggron running a curse set doesn't get OHKO'd by max Heatran and can easily OHKO in return.
>Trick RoomViable for the sake of actual ranked battles due to the 3 Pokemon limit.
>And what the hell is Mega Aerodactyl using that gets a bonus out of Tough Claws because all of its best attacks are non-contact.Iron Heading Fairies, Crunching the ever-popular Ghosts, running the fangs without them being awful. It has two extra moveslots besides Edgequake you know.
>Mega Gyarados loses intimidate and the typing that made its bulky build so good to begin withIt switches in with Intimidate already lowering your opponent's Attack, and then gets the ability on top of that. But it's not a turn one mega by any means. You use it to fuck with your opponent. Look at their weaknesses and resistances. You're weak to fighting and bug, but an opponent would be stupid to use fighting or bug moves on regular gyarados. If they send in a rock type, you mega evolve and lose that weakness.
Mega Gyarados is great if you realize you can choose when to Mega Evolve. Hence the Tyraniboah reference.
