Can we get a thread going for some Trick Room love? Post teams, strategies, stories, etc. I've been using a Trick Room team that has been rekkkking shit in PokebankOU on Showdown. Smeargle, Exploud, Malamar, Porygon2, Mega Mawile, Reuniclus. Looking to maybe swap out Porygon2 as I feel it's not pulling it's weight enough. What's your team look like, & how much do you love it on a scale of 10 to 10?inb4 not viable in Singles

I used TR/Sand Stream for a local tourney and PWT in BW2. I now know how horribly those pokemon I had were raised (they were at least generally EVed correctly) but even then they were enough to decimate everything they went up against, in doubles or triples. Let's see if I can remember... Bronzong / Sassy / Levitate @ Leftovers Trick Room Protect Gyro Ball Explosion Tyranitar / Brave / Sand Stream @ Life Orb Earthquake Ice Beam Crunch Dragon Tail Regirock / Adamant / Clear Body @Choice Band Hammer Arm Stone Edge Earthquake Explosion Cacturne / Quiet / Sand Cloak @ BrightPowder Sucker Punch Energy Ball Focus Blast Protect>evasion I know. I didn't then, I do now. I'd do my best to explode Bronzong early on, or sacrifice/switch Tyranitar if it seemed to be a long match in the making. Regirock with Sand is untouchable, and Hammer Arm accelerating him is awesome. Considered using Curse, but Tyranitar had my Life Orb and there's precious little setup time in TR (which is why if I could I'd keep Bronzong alive to use it again later.) Those were some good fuckin times and I can't wait for Bank to get those guys on my X.

I use Eviolite Dusclops in doubles, I didn't do any HP investment (max both defenses) so I could Pain Split back to full health after cursing. I also really like Pranksters in TR teams. I use a Volbeat Tail Glow + Baton Pass to bulky Musharna who can pretty much sweep with Stored Power (or I can use Calm Mind to boost the power up a bit more). Restore HP with Moonlight, and then Baton Pass to another Special Attacker in the wings if I come up against two things that take no damage from psychic moves. I'm sure there are better Trick Room users/move sets but my team is Karen: Trick Room edition, so idgaf

Anyone tried using Carbink in teri TR team? I wanna try him out but im unsure what moves to give him. I imagine a Sassy/Relaxed nature with maxed out defenses and 4 into HP. I know that x4 to Steel is a bit of a turn off, but I wanna try to use one regardless.

>>15565904 The problem with Carbink on a TR team is that it doesn't learn Trick Room, & it's a defensive mon, so it's not going to hit hard & fast like a TR sweeper should. Stalling is useless in TR, it just wastes turns.

Considering a more offensive variant but it seems lacking movepoolwise. Could also roll Sassy with 252 HP/252 SpDef/4 Attack since it has WoW but I find being able to cockblock Excadrill more reliably a plus

>>15566246 A common strategy in earlier gens was TrickBoom Bronzong. The idea was to set up TR and rocks, then go BOOM to give another mon a free switch in. i really want to incorporate M-Aggron into a DB TR team. So far I have: Sturdy Brave 252 Atk/204 SDef/52 HP with 0 IVs in Spd of course Rock Slide/Stone Edge Aerial Ace EQ/Iron Head (IR if i don't have a Flier/Lev/Protector to protect themselves) Brick Break/Power-Up Punch i definitely think i should be taking advantage of M-Aggron's boosted SDef, but not sure how many EVs to put into it exactly. Guts
Drain Punch
Mach Punch
Rock Slide
Detect/Power-Up Punch
