Pokemon have Limit breaks when they're in the red. Make a shit gimmick pokemon or two that revolve around the limit break so it can't be removed as a way to recover.

Actually, just flooding the game with as many shitty gimmicks as possible and have a pokemon for each gimmick should work.

make a shiny splicer that costs 5$ in real cash through DLC

make it so cash is ridiculously hard to get in game and you can purchase cash using 3ds points

you can mate with pokemon and live breeding half-furries

Genwunners are basically people with unbreakable nostalgia glasses super glued and duct taped to their eyes.
Every time a new generation is released, rather then find reasonable points to dislike it, they just go into fetal position in the corner, slowly caressing their pokemon red/blue cartridges and whispering "if I don't look at it it won't forcibly change my opinion" over and over.
Then they eventually muster enough strength to look at it, and once again, rather than be rational, cherry-pick arguments while fapping to charizard.

Make the next game have a story based around child prostitution. Have the main character be raped several times through the game mercilessly. Make it so if you make a character with dark skin you're murdered in the opening cutscene and you can only play it by playing as someone light-skinned.

In the credits you should thank as many reputable developers in the industry as you can for their assistance in creating the game.

Create a separate game while you're working on that one. When getting rated by the ESRB, get the alternate game certified, but make sure the data released on the actual cards is the child prostitution version of Pokemon. Release a statement making terrorist threats to a friendly nation on video while you kill yourself.

If that's not enough to kill a franchise, a company, and possibly the entire medium, then instead just make a good game because I have no clue what'll work if none of that shit does.
