Reformatted my 3ds for a new friendcode turns out you still have the same pokemon in your safari, just letting everyone know if they were thinking about this.

Yes, you have to do it twice.

I've tested it extensively. It only changes each other reset, it's weird like that.

So if you "reformat" your 3ds twice, you'll get a new safari? that's as someone who studies computers, I'm finding that hard to believe but it still sounds intruiging. since i don't wanna fuck with my 3ds i'll never know.

Question: does deleting people from your friends list leave them as your in-game pokemon friend? or does it remove them from that list too?
It could be useful when the friend list hits its 100 man limit.

No, I'm being legitimately serious. A friend of mine bought the 3DS XL Pokemon version, so we reset it for testing purposes.

The initial reset gives you the same Safari, exactly reproduced down to the same slots. The second reset actually changes it. This pattern repeats with each reset, giving you the same as what you had, then a new one.

If you delete someone from your list, it will remove them from the in-game friend list, yes.

However, on the other side, if you reset your 3DS, everyone who had you on their friend's list will keep you and still be able to go into your Safari. I had, at one point, 20 different iterations of my friend's trainer in my Friend list, each with 20 different Safaris.

I promise. We tried it with both 3DS and 3DS XL. I used to have an Ice safari and mine is currently Fighting.

I mean, if we knew how it actually determined what was in your safari, we might have some way of figuring out the logic. It's not Friend Code dependent, necessarily, since when we were resetting we just used the Local friend registration system.
