I don't think team previews should be a thing. Hell, the only time in the games when it happens is when fighting a human player online. Every other time, it is a surprise (assuming you don't know the NPC's team ahead of time, like in the battle maison).

Exactly. It completely ruins an entire aspect of battling in that you should never know what the opponent has in store. I mean, when you see their team, you can calculate their entire strategy for the most part. Also, it makes zoroark entirely pointless.

I thought so too, and to an extent still agree. The only case it seems okay is when you're in a game mode that doesn't allow all Pokemon or something. Then you have to decide which Pokemon go out and stay behind, ie VGC.

Yes, because I want to spend every single battle for ad infinitum thinking if my opponent has a zoroark or not.

Zoroark already works fine especially with teammates and the like. He'd be broken if you didn't know your opponent had one or not.

No, I've done the rusing. Heck I main Zoroark and even I know he'd be broken without team preview.

But team preview is a shit way to handle it since your entire team gets revealed.

That was a lucky crit. But I have seen some moron players use him with Tyranitar before, my Fighting attack that would have been 4x effective on TT, is 2x effecting on Zoroark and kills him anyway.

They put it in because the tournaments are 4v4. So you choose the pokemon you need to use. It should be an option for custom matches, that way smogon players can have their fun and tourney players can too
