Spritzee was a very simple, yet sleek design. It had a lot of potential and wasn't a generic bird. It's evolution ended up looking atrocious, but nonetheless I can't think of any Pokemon like it. it's definitely diverse I can assure you that.
Swirlix and Slurpuff were both bad yet being diverse as well
Unless you want to relate them to the Vanilluxe line which is food relatedCarbink was literally a rock with eyes. Not diverse from the other rock mons, but definitely diverse for the newly introduced Fairy type.
Lastly, Klefki. Refer to Carbink.
I forgot about the 3 event legendaries in my initial diversity statement. Volcanion probably isn't fairy type so I'll focus on diancie and Hoopa
Diancie looks very similar to Carbink in terms of inspiration. I'm sure they are related but that hasn't been stated since we got them revealed far before it was supposed to be.
Hoopa....I'll give you that one. It's diverse sure, but Jesus. It's not 2cute4me but I don't like it.
Nonetheless, this is still the type's first introduction. Every initial dark type was also "2edgy4me trash" but I don't see what the problem with that type's initial release, or this type's initial release.
