It takes hours after a game sync to do game sync again.

Saving manually will game sync.
Saving in any other way will not game sync.
Selecting Game Sync in the PSS will...it's obvious.

So, sync when you're going to bed, collect your earnings the next day. It's stupid, but it's unfortunately how it works.
