In multi-battles using MegaKangaskhan, Earthquake, Bulldoze, and Surf will not hit twice.

A Pokemon will still evolve after a battle even if it fainted during the battle. (Pretty sure this is new)

Powder has +1 prioritity, stops a fire move if it is selected the turn Powder is selected, and does 25% damage to the opposing Pokemon.
There is no failure rate like protect.

While this itself isn't new, I did notice that if you black out and it leveled up to evolve during the battle, your Pokemon will still evolve before being sent to the Pokemon Center. This has not happened in previous generations, evolution is skipped over and you had to raise it another level.

This seems like a good place to ask this:
If a Pokemon with Protean (let's say, a Froakie) were to use Hidden Power, will its type change to the attack type, or will it default to HP's default type i.e. Normal?

I tried it and my Greninja became dragon when it used its HP, so yes.
With the HP nerf and the meh tier defenses getting hp steel isn't that good anyway, and good luck finding the IVs you want.

Intimidate only works once per each Pokemon, switching a Pokemon out and returning it to battle doesn't lower the opponent's attack.

It would have been fantastic on Parasect, especially if sleep clause stays in effect. Spore a pokemon, seed the fire type switch in, then use powder. After 2 turns of leech seed damage and powder on the obvious fire move the Opponent is sitting at half health. The only fire pokemon this wouldn't really work on are the few that carry flying moves, which also happen to be 4x rock weak.

The most common fire type pokemon coverage moves are fighting, ground, and grass. Parasect resists fighting, and quad resists the other two.
The only common exceptions are Charizard, and Talonflame with flying stabs, and Volcarona with bugbuzz and maybe hurricane. Defensively invested parasect can take resisted, usually non-stab coverage moves for days.
