So let's assume that we'll get to visit Hoenn this Gen. Would you rather have:
1. A simple remake similar to two previous remakes. No post Gen 3 mons in the wild, same plot and characters, up to date mechanics + the visual style of XY. Maybe some new facility and boutiques to buy clothes. The game also retains all flaws of the original such as big amount of water routes with little Pokemon variety.
2. Sequel similar to BW2 only with bigger timeskip. Lots of post-Gen 3 Pokemon in the wild, redesigned towns and maybe some new ones. The plot isn't a direct follow-up but uses the same legendaries. Only a couple of Gym Leaders and Elite Four members retain their place, the rest are new but old characters make cameos. Fixes lots of problems but doesn't feel nostalgic because it isn't the same Hoenn people know and love or hate .
