Hey guys, I@m new to the whole IV/EV thing. Never really took an interest in it, just liked playing the games. However now I'm trying my best to get involved in the whole thing. Correct me if I'm wrong but if a Pokemon's IVs are all perfect then the Judge in Kiloude should say all your stats simply can't be beat and your characteristics should either be 'Takes plenty of Siestas' or 'Somewhat vein'. Is this right?
Anonymous
How exactly do Belly Drum and Anger Point max your attack? Is there no point in getting an Attack nature?
Anonymous
Quoted By:
>>15588118 I'm not sure about the characteristics anymore check Serebii. But if you catch a pokémon in the friend safari at least two of its stats will be perfect.
If a stat is perfect the judge in Kiloude will tell you that the stat is its best (i.e It's best stat is attack) and will then end with "you can't beat these stats" (I'm paraphrasing).
EVs you can simply do by doing the super training in the bottom screen.

Also, know that Will-o-wisp/Curse and Pain Split are both contrary to each other, and you're left with a disabler with even less healing than a regular Pain Split mon.
Try instead Sitrus Harvest Trevenant with Leech Seed/Curse/Substitute/Will-o-wisp. Can replace Willowisp with a Ghost move if you fear Taunt, but you're left with nothing against physical attackers then. Set up Seed+Sub, then Curse (assuming Berry is up). Best used when opposing Taunters/WWind/Roar users are gone.

>>15590964 That's a big question. Overall, Nintendo focused more on the features as opposed to the pokemon themselves, hence only 69 pokemon/megas/fairy-retconning. It's quite a pretty game, but it's prone to fps drops, particularly in 3D mode. The story isn't anything spectacular, but it's pretty good as far as pokemon games go. Gen 6-Giovanni is a fairly round character with decent motivation and has a hilarious slew of grunts that totally contrast his dramatic goals.
Overall, I've enjoyed it, but you can tell that Nintendo/Gamefreak are basically cashing in on the pokemon name this generation rather than furthering the game/series.
Sorry for the typos. Big thumbs/phone.

X and Y were complete failures. The Pokemon designs have been skyrocketing downhill for the past 3 gens and Gamefreak's designs have become deviantart tier. Designs like Binacle, Doubledge and Klefki almost make me think Gamefreak is self aware and doing this on purpose. It's like they grabbed a random art student off of the streets and then got that art student's 12 year old kid to come up with and draw them. Megas are not only a stupid gimmick that screw over the balance of the game even more and ruined a lot of the older Pokemon since most of them are Rhyperior tier. The lack of new Pokemon is probably one of the only good things about Gen VI but only "good" in the sense that being forcefed half a plate of shit is better than being fed a full plate. It still felt like a step back in every way but graphics but the mere fact that they were hyping finally moving to 3D graphics in 2013 shows what a joke of a developer GF is. The AI is still just as godawful as it was in RBY which means the game is just as easy as ever, it still follows the same stale format of 8 gyms, evil team, elite 4, etc. but this time there isn't even a post game to carry it. And no, them "slaving away" to give us features like bench sitting and 3D graphics that look worse than many PS1 titles is not an excuse for them to release an unfinished game. Only a completely ignorant drone could defend the Pokemon franchise and modern Nintendo in their present states and supporting them as they are is tantamount to supporting mediocrity which is never acceptable, whether as a consumer or as a human being. I returned my copy, sold my 3DS and will be purchasing a Vita instead and I advise those of you with sense to do the same. Otherwise you really are no different than Call of Duty fanboys.

Predicting IVs only outshines the old-fashioned method when you already have a healthy supply of 2+(really 3+) IV parents in stock. Also, you pretty much have to use a magikarp pair to scout for you.

So I'm currently trying to breed for a perfect Drilbur. I have a male with five perfect ivs, and a female with 4. One of the female's perfect ivs is the one non perfect iv on the male. I have the female equipped with the everstone to pass down the correct nature, and the male equipped with the destiny knot. My question is basically am I doing it right, and is there anything else I can do to increase my chances of reaching my goal?

>>15605027 I think its because your Sableye has to be idle in your party next to also idle Pokerus-mon with some other pokemon doing the fighting. After one or two battles your Sableye will have the virus. It will never catch it if you send him to battle all the time.

>>15605388 I'm horde flushing with Greninja while Sableye is idling next to the infected machamp. I've never had it go this long without spreading so it's very confusing

>>15605453 Weird, did you make sure the Machamp STILL has active Pokerus? If it doesn't say POKÉRUS on the status screen and it just displays a pink happy face, your Machamp will never pass the virus.
If its not that I have no idea.

Does any have an extremely detailed guide on IV breeding? I know how to do it, but I feel like I'm doing something wrong, even if I have good starting parents, it still takes a god damn eternity and 5 or 6 boxes worth of Pokemon to get one with AT LEAST 2 in the ones I want. I never get anything with 4 or 5 and yet I see everyone popping them out like it's nothing. What am I doing wrong?

The only thing I can think of is my other inoculated 'mons are stopping it from spreading to him but I've tried

There's really no major difference between using this and using the regular method.

>>15605815 I honestly wonder why all that shit is in the OP when nobody follows or reads anything.
What's the point?
Anonymous
>>15605832 Nah, it's alright. I have one set of wingulls to kill and i've finished EVs on him.
Anonymous
>>15605719 Sure there is. If you don't have a starting crop to work with it's a little harder, but once you do this is piss easy. You just keep resetting until you see a spread you can 4 or 5 IV. More 4 IV's means more chances at the 5IV.

>>15605868 You do realize you only hear from the people who don't read because the people who read the OP got the info they needed, right?

It seems like everyone agrees that restaurant Le Wow gets the most XP, but how can I use it to level up low-level pokes? XP share doesn't work in restaurants, does it?

>>15606373 Do rotation battles with your low-level mon in the second or third position (with lucky egg and hopefully an O-power active).
While in one of those positions he's counted as participating in the battle and cannot be targeted unless you allow him to be. Full xp on every kill and AUDINO if you use Le Wow.
Anonymous
>>15606373 It works in the restaurants just fine. Do a rotation battle with one sweeper to maximize the number of low levels you can train in one shot

What're some cute (completely evolved) pokemon that don't totally suck? I don't need them to be super strong, just strong enough so that I can face my friends without getting my ass handed to me too badly. So far I have a female Meowstic, an Emolga, and a Mawile. Are these any good? And what else would be a really cute addition to my team?
