I'm trying to build a sunny day team atm. I'm kinda lost though, as i'm fairly new to proper team building. I definatly wanna use volcarona and victreebel as sweepers and ninetales as a sun inducer. What else should i include? i was thinking starmie as a rapid spinner and snorlax to sponge damage. would mega blaziken be a viable option?

When I ran a drought team in gen 5, I found Donphan to be pretty effective as a rapid spinner, since it resists Stealth Rock and it's water weakness is reduced in the sun. It also gets Ice Shard so it can revenge kill most top-tier dragons. The metagame has probably changed a fair bit since then but he still seems pretty viable.

keep in mind that drought only works for 5 turns. Also consider using another pokemon with sunny day in case your ninetales gets taken out. Using mega blaziken makes your team weak to flying, i would drop either volcarona or blaziken and replace it with bronzong. that might sound like a bad idea initially, but it lessen your weakness to ground aswell as flying types considerably. if you just want to play very agressively and get off some clean sweeps, you can use your team as it is. It will take a lot of testing and tweaking to make it really competitive though.

I suggest using a Sunny Day Klefki with a Heat Rock.

It can also set up Screens if you desire. While dangerous, you can use Harvest Pokemon like Trevenant since the ability will never fail in bright sun

I'd seriously recommend a Harvest Pokemon on a sun team. I used Harvest Tropius in Ubers and it could wall Zekrom. Substitute, Leech Seed, Will-O-Wisp Trevenant seems to be the best option now.

how would i best go about setting up a trevenant for that cause? Defensive nature and EV's? Which spot in my team would it take? Again, i'm very new to teambuilding, so i don't really have a clue how to handle stuff like that.

Trevenant is pretty tanky.

I guess giving it Horn Leech and Shadow Claw, and then Willowisp and Rest maybe? using Harvest, it can use Chesto berries all day in the sun, or just give it a Lum and it can laugh at all status effects.
