The offspring was a dog-like feline that was very prone to genetic mutations. A new species was born amongst the apocalyptic genetic chaos, Eevee.
TL;DR: Pokémon takes place in a post-apocalyptic Earth, where humans managed to recreate society exceedingly well.Also, nice 69s.
