>>15600551Animation is expensive and time-consuming. If you've done a bunch of animation, only to find that the scene you've created really doesn't work, you either throw it out and waste all that time and effort, or keep it in to retain the work.
Sometimes, you have to actually see a scene after it has been nearly completed to recognize it as crap (Film background, I know this). And with the time crunch these movies are under, the producers are reluctant to let anything go, no matter how shit it is. I assure you lack of caring has less to do with it.
