Has anyone had any luck trading for mega stones? If so, what are they worth to people? Shinies? Legendaries? A hot dicking?

Generally the usual stuff. Shinies, Legendaries, 5 IVs Pokemon.

It really depends on the person who has it. Some just don't give a fuck about them and throw them away for strong Pokemon, or good looking Shinies to collect.
