Sand teams are awesome this gen. Especially with based AV T-Tar and Excadrill being OU again.

Also, M-Garchomp is an awesome wallbreaker. Don't listen to the faggots that say it's shit.

I think sand will be a very viable option, due to the fact that the pokemon used in sand are already good. Tyranitar is a great pokemon which has more uses on a team than just putting up sand (eat a shit ninetales) and the pokemon that benefit from sand (skarmory, ferrothorn, garchomp, etc.) are also beastly pokemon.

sand is definitely viable.

They were good in gen 4, they're still good now. 5 turns is still plenty for Excadrill or Garchomp to do some damage.

yesterday I fought against some guy who was running a ice weather team with abomansnow(his mega), walrein, weavile, avalugg and cloyster...
needless to say he didn´t make it long.

Sand is probably still the best weather. So it only lasts five turns now, so fucking what? The whole point of weather is that you wipe out half your opponent's team in those 5 turns.

SD, EQ, Stone Edge and Outrage / Dragon Claw.

Pretty standard and straightforward but if you manage to pull up a SD while sandstorm is on, QuakeEdge will nuke all the opposition. Afterwards you just clean up with Outrage

Tyranitar special wall with Assault Vest and physical wall Hippowdon. Sandstormer isn't needed methinks. Does anybody know if Smooth Rock works with Sand Stream?

Well the thing now is if we really need a Smooth Rock. My T-Tar fared pretty darn well with leftovers before I tried Assault Vest (was a Stealth Rock SubPunch variant) but now is nearly invincible on the special side. Hippowdon however I don't know how he'll fare without lefts.

HP and attack, maybe invest something like 76 in SpDef if you want a truly fucking invincible tank. Between Sandstorm and Vest his SpDef is x2.25
