I was sitting on the bus playing Pokemon Diamond, when a young guy dressed like one who works at an office comes in and sits next to me. I caught him glancing at my screen, and I looked at him while he looked at me. Our eyes met, and then he pulled out a DS from his pocket and told me that now we had to battle.
My heart has never beaten that fast before. It was an awesome surprise. I ended up wiping the floor with him because he didn't have a full level 100 team, but the battle was still amazing. I ended up missing my stop. But it was totally worth it. He thanked me for the battle and left.
So yeah. If you play Pokemon, play in public. You never know when you might meet another trainer.
