Mence has higher attackHigher BST, higher defenses (seriously that 78/111 is like, just enough to survive and OHKO some things), higher special attack if you want to run mixed DD, Mence only gets 5 higher attack anyway. And near-unresisted dual STAB makes up for it entirely.

Moxie is only so vastly superior on choice sets because outrage was auto-win button. Now you're walled running choice Outrage or EQ, so you'd much rather prefer intimidate to switch in and get a free chance to set up in their face or force a switch.
If anything, you should be maximizing on how you're a bulky dragon type with roost and intimidate so you can boast higher immediate defenses rather than boast about how 550 attack is higher than 500 when nearly everything dies from just 400 or so attack given correct coverage.
