The amount of pokemon you can catch before the e4 is astonishing, immensely diverse, and even overwhelming at times. The friend safari, and the extreme fluidity of online interactions makes the game that much more incredible, something previous titles were simply incapable of achieving.
And if you want to enjoy the story, put yourself in the shoes of a child who might be playing pokemon for the first or second time ever.
If you've ever played pokemon as a child, it's something you can relate to, and if you haven't, I can't help but feel a bit sorry for you.
