Well, for once this could make sense, as Kirlia is a ballet dancer and those Mega Gardevoirs remind me of Odile and Odette from Swan Lake. It clearly shows more of what a waifufag would want, but could work for people who aren't waifufags.

The initial design for Gardevoir was to be a ballroom dancer. For the males, they were meant to be cloaked and ready to take a lady's hand to dance. The Pokedex mentions them to be paladins in a sense. Gallade is more or less the males on the battlefield.

IIRC, gardevoir was intended to be all female with gallade being all male, but time issues prevented gallade from being put in.

Of course I can't remember the source for this info, so it isn't that credible.

The only hint at this is the gender ratio and even then, I still feel GameFreak made Gallade just to throw the people who had a male Gardevoir a bone. If you look at elves, you'll see why male Gardies aren't too farfetched.

Not really. But I think they needed to make another Pokémon use the Dawn Stone and they picked Snorunt. Male Lopunny aren't too out of there either. Don't let the otherwise anthroish artwork warp it's actual design.
