I'd keep them around, but give them jobs that might seem extremely important to the organization, but are actually trivial. It would be decent entertainment value for when I might not be able to make a public appearance.
However, other members can learn something from them, as surprising as it may sound. They might be bumbling buffoons, but they're persistent. They try. They try to not disappoint their superior, and in an organization that relies on hierarchy, I would be quick to defend them should someone open their mouth in protest to their service.
They'd be my idiot kids, I suppose. Maybe not the brightest, but I'd love them all the same.
