Set up both Seed+Sub and have Sitrus up before you Curse. It'll force many switches, giving more turns for Harvest to proc on top of Leech Seed use.
On the whole, it's alright.
If your opponent cannot get a quick 2HKO, then Trevenant poses a huge problem due to its longevity and options.
Going to disagree with a previous anon and say that it's not an incredible regenerating tank, as it's slow Speed makes most 2HKOs effectively a OHKO. However, its regenerative properties makes for a solid tank overall with particularly great matchups on those who can't manage to 2HKO it (which it can enforce with Will-o-wisp, typing, and stats).
Though it'll never be a sweeper, I feel that its offensive movepool is one of its greatest strengths, especially in contrast to Gourgeist, who is a much better supporter at the cost of offensive presence.
I feel it definitely needs to take advantage of its offensive edge to distinguish it from Gourgeist, from whom it faces strict competition.
I see it as a solid player in the mid/low tiers, where it'll be amazing.
