Destiny Knot makes the child inherit 5 of the parents' IVs total, not five from that one parent. There's your problem.

I've been trying to do same thing all with Speed boost Torchic, start to see 4 IVs appear more often so maybe I'm close.

Quick question, when breeding pokemon, can I transfer egg moves from the pokemon to it's baby of the same species?

With the way Destiny Knot works now, if I get two parents of at least 4 or 5 IV's, does that exponentially increase my chances of 4-5 IV offspring, then? It sounds like my issue was breeding a high IV 'mon with a low IV one, thinking the holder of destiny was the only one passing down IV's.
