That's why pokemon that you don't train yourself are weaker, they lack EVs

Thanks. Another question.

Once they're out of the daycare, am I able to EV train them to their fullest potential still, or does them not being able to get the bigger gains during those prior levels not get made up for by being maxed out through super training?

It doesn't matter az what level you EV train them, you could still do that perfectly after having them in the daycare until level 80.

EV's do not increase the amount you gain through level up, but rather influence the final number. As long as you EV train before hitting level 100 you will be able to make full use of them.

So, just to make sure I fully understand this, if I were to daycare/rare candy them till level 99, and then EV train the fuck out of them to the max with Super Training, they would gain an insane amount of stats from level 99 to 100?

That would be the case in previous gens. In XY the EVs are added to the stats directly and instantly. There would be no need to level up to see the increase.

In gen 6, the pokemon's EV stat bonuses are calculated after a battle, not with a level up. So, you could theoretically EV train a level 100.

No, you'd gain the max amount of stats per level ( I think it's 7) but the pokemon would retain the EV's. the stats correct at lvl 100 when the pokemon is placed into the PC.

Yes they do. This lets you EV train multiple pokemon with hordes.
