Pokemon's been pulling this kinda shit for always.

Something's just stuck in the designers heads that says, "Yeah, give it more heads. And eyes, move the eyes around. Somewhere weird. Yeah, now make it asymmetrical, perfect."

These designs are a crucial part of Pokemon. The weird ass shit like Weezing, Exeggutor, Claydol, Roggenrola, Klinklang...they're necessary, y'know? To keep the cool ones looking cool.

Plus, some people are into the more ridiculous designs.

You do know that barbaracle's design is pretty much a kaijin in general and not just unique from mazinger right?
