>>15651443Because most of the people who like it don't feel the urge to fight for its honour - much unlike Charizardfags.
That is why you hear mostly arguments against Lucario.
Personally, Lucario's design doesn't strike me as something special in long-perspective.
You see, when it comes to pokemon, I started out like a naive tourist who reaches to grab the most fabulous and cool thing on the gift shop's exhibition - not caring how good it will look alongside the rest of your life that one always returns to after the voyage is done. When I saw my in-game rival evolve his charmeleon to Charizard, it was my knee-jerk reaction to restart the game from scratch.
But as time went on, I started to care far more how the premise of a pokemon works for me in the long run. Granted, it leaves me with a liking far more obscure and unpopular pokemon like Gallade, but I feel that I can see and appreciate more that way rather than get stuck to few definite choices.
>Inb4 hipster I also happen to like Gengar and Blaziken.
