Heliolisk is my new favorite Pokemon from any gen. So fucking adorable (especially in Amie), speedy as shit, learns goddamn SURF, and his pre-evo looks like PaRappa the Rapper. Also for whatever reason my Heliolisk has made the RNG his bitch; he's NEVER stayed asleep or confused for more than one turn in over 75 hours of playtime. He's a total bro and I've come to depend on him almost exclusively.

Heliolisk is a definite bro for sure, but I think Gourgeist or Tyrantrum take the cake for best new Pokemon of the generation. I'm honestly having a tough time deciding which one I like more.

Heliolisk, Pyroar, Aromatisse and Gourgeist are my favourites of this gen.
I think Gourgeist could have been done a little differently (Smaller sizes being special attackers and larger sizes being physical) but overall I'm really happy with this gen's designs.

I'm in the same boat as you. A jack-o-lantern pokemon is something a lot of people wanted, and instead we got that thing. I mean I don't necessarily hate it, but...It just means we probably won't be getting another actual pumpkin pokemon for a very long time, if ever.

I have it on my team for WiFi battles just because it's cute, but I have it with Trick Room, Power Gem, Moonblast and Stealth Rocks. It is a pretty shitty attacker though.

Actually, the bullet shrimp the line is based off of can produce a spark underwater that matches the heat of the sun. It snaps its claw, heats the water, and fires a shockwave at whatever the fuck it wants to.
