To be fair, I don't think Aerodactyl is as close to a pteradactyl as they could've made it - with B/W we had a slightly more realistic turtle Pokemon with Tirtouga as compared to Squirtle, I wouldn't mind a slightly more accurate pteradactyl Pokemon though. Not that I don't like Aerodactyl, I love it.

I hate to be "that guy," but I actually kind of agree with OP. There's nothing WRONG with Aerodactyl, but it'd be really nice to have a more accurately designed one at the same time.

I dunno. I grew up with The Land Before Time and I love me my dinosaur Sentais and, to be frank, calling Aerodactyl Pteragordon just seems weird.

It's the head, man. That big ol' jaw and the two... things (are they horns? fins?) instead of one... They really throw me off from enjoying it properly.

There's nothing wrong with it, again, I just kinda see OP's point in that it'd be nice to have one with an accurate head.

Pokemon are based on animals, but they are not actually animals. Aerodactyl is no less of a pteradon/dactyl/whatever than any other pokemon being based on their respective things.

Personally, I'm sick of pokemon being based on real things. I want more weird shit like Electabuzz and Magmar.

One of the first things I did for my fakedexes was make more fossils.

Fakedex 1 has a choice of 3 and then an additional single stage fossil and fakedex 2 has two pairs of choices and another single stage fossil.

GF needs to step it up.
