Color doesn't affect competitive play anyway, it's no different from shiny breeding.

Anyway I wouldn't use the everstone, it already has a purpose. Maybe some other item like lucky egg.

I never really did any Gen Transferring, but can BW/BW2 recognize a Pokemon that started in Gen 3? Or is it just a generic "from far away" kinda thing?

Because what if they did alternate colors by Gen?

I'm not a genwunner/twooer or whatever, but I think it would be really cool if Gen 1 and 2 pokemon got a second Shiny that looked like the simplified color schemes in Gen 1 and 2 games.

Did these two real quick since they're my favorite 'mons, and their shinies are both pretty disappointing. I wanted Jirachi's to show off his steel typing more, so I made him silver, the pink looks weird but I wasn't sure what else to do since his secondary typing is psychic. As for Crawdaunt, I just thought a purple lobster would be badass.

For the twentieth anniversary they introduce Legacy Pokemon. It's basically a second shiny type. It has the same chance of showing up, and Masuda Method and PokeRadar work exactly the same for it. It uses new IV calculations that mean older Pokemon have a slightly higher chance to turn out to be these when they come out of PokeTransfer.

Every single Pokemon that didn't have a lime green shiny, gets a lime green legacy form
Every single Pokemon that got a lime green shiny, gets a decent alternate color for legacy form

How would that make you feel?

Actually since they're using the greyscale overlay color palette system right now (hence people seeing albino Pokemon, and Pokemon being uncolored when they switch in, it's also how Vivillion works) it would probably be easier to just add more multiple shinies rather than just redoing them all.

I really like this idea. Why is this not a thing? This should totally be a thing.
They could do random color variations on the cel-shaded models pretty easy, with a range of "regular" colors and maybe some "rare" colors for various parts of the body.
Hell, they already do stuff like Spinda spots, Shellos/Gastrodon colors, Flabebe's line, gender differences in general, and Pumpkaboo/Gourgeist sizes, why limit things like that to specific Pokemon? Why can't every species have subtle color, size, or marking differences to differentiate them from others of the same species? That'd be really cool. Imagine you and someone else, maybe someone you're battling, both have a Blastoise, except yours is a little smaller and has a greenish tint, so you can tell they're not exactly the same. That'd be really cool.

I fucking love Crobat. The reason his shiny is Pink with green wing flaps is because Crobat's colors are inversed when he becomes a Crobat (Zubat/Golbat's purple wing flaps and blue bodies become blue wing flaps and purple body for Crobat) so in a way Crobat's shiny makes sense. Too bad the colors are puke green and pale pink. I would love it to be pic related.
