Maybe instead of having strictly typed Safaris, it would be more random, but the third Pokemon unlocked would be something "good".

This would make it much less likely for people to have useless Safaris, in general.

Bring back the difficulty levels from BW2, and make them available from the start. Really I just want these games to surprise me more. Throw out the status quo entirely and stop trying to appeal to my nostalgia. The only thing that really gets me nostalgic in video games anymore is not knowing how big the world is and not knowing what to expect. Pokemon consistently fails me by getting by on a formula that even Gamefreak is pretty clearly sick of using. Multiplayer was really cool this time around. I even like the mini-meta caused by a huge chunk of pokemon not being available. I just want more - Pokemon gets really stagnant once the dust settles. I want to see wacky, fun options like Inverse Battles alongside double, triple, and rotation, because why the hell not. I want multiple save files with the opportunity to send mons between them, and I want challenge modes like Nuzlocke to get a professional once-over by the real developers and become a real game option. I want a pokemon game that adds a little bit more sophistication, self-awareness, and refinement to the trend of just piling new shit into the same clunky case. Wishful thinking, I know. I just want a Pokemon game that I can play more than once, and enjoy for more than a few short months.

Streetpass needs to be overhauled. Since the sheer amount of people you'd encounter would guarantee them having to overhaul the secret base system (because there's not enough spaces for people to be in) Even underground, there wouldn't be a lot of room. I'd propose a "Battle Hotel". Basically a hotel just like all the other ones you see across Kalos. Essentially it'd work in the same way as a Secret Base; you can decorate it with different beds, Pokedolls, item, maybe even a mannequin to display some clothes on (that people could buy). Your character would appear as it did from your last save, and the team would also be saved. You'd have the option of battling, or trading a Pokemon (which you can select a maximum of 10..maybe put them in a special box or something). This would ensure that you'd have plenty of space for people (something in the level of how many you can have in ACNL) and then you can select if you want to keep them there too.

Just give the NPC trainers decent movesets jesus christ. They waste so many turns on useless moves. If you can't make use them right, just don't give them stuff like Odor Sleuth and Mud Sport. They should have move sets fitting their stats (shit like Conkeldurr or Scyzor with nothing but special moves), and also need to use super effective moves as much as possible. Pretty much every single NPC team in the game needs more or stronger pokemon. Not just for challenge and fun, but also for immersion. It makes no sense how weak everyone is relative to the player. Post game needs to reach higher levels, too. There's no reason not to include lvl 90-100 optional battles. Aside from gameplay, I want more characters to be closely involved with the story. They are pretty much walking tutorials and item dispensers now. And then the obvious complaints: make breeding even less tedious now that you are it, fix the HM problems, streamline the PC system, center related items and services at clusters for easy use, buff Onix, Ledian and co. etc.

Anonymous
"Utility slots" for Pokemon, there's 3 spaces of extra moves for Pokemon, but these spaces can only be filled by moves with effects outside of battle and can't be used in battle. It will solve the whole HM thing. Or instead, you can have 3-4 "Reserve slots", so your Pokemon doesn't forget a move it has no room for. Instead it's put in a reserve slot, so it's not part of the "Active Slots". So you can switch between 7-8 moves, 4 of which can be used in battle. (Of course you can only change the moves around outside of battle.) This would make forgetting moves less of dilemma and allow some Pokemon to switch between HMs and moves you actually want.

>>15664815 If you have to spend an hour just cycling around to get a useful pokemon, the system is flawed.
5 HM is way too much since it forces you to keep 2 HM slaves. You are down to a team of 4.
PC system isn't just the boxes. It refers to all movements of pokemon between the boxes and other places. And anyway, organize boxes needs to be the default option, and it needs better item organization integrated to it.
So you refused to use Join Avenue because it's too casual and doesn't involve enough pointless cycling and flying?
They are slightly buffing the stats of many pokemon already, it's their chance to bring some severely underpowered ones to a slightly less terrible level.

The player gets a laptop, so players can access all their Pokemon (almost) anywhere. Obviously there are restrictions that are explained in game (Gyms, the League, Bases etc have signal blockers; certain routes and caves lack proper signals) and the exploit that heals Pokemon deposited needs to be removed (instead all the boxed Pokemon are healed whenever a Nurse heals your team), but this would streamline a lot of the needless backtracking imo that I feel adds nothing to the game
